Faculty Partnerships

The program many faculty wished had existed.

For more than two decades, the ISV model created extraordinary opportunities for over 30,000 students. The student experience has always been the strength of this model. What is new is that faculty are now equally supported β€” with pathways to engage at the level that best fits your goals, your students, and your year, from a brief referral to a fully customized academic experience.

How Faculty Are Supported

We have worked to remove the barriers that made faculty involvement hard to sustain.

For years, faculty who wanted to lead these experiences carried much of the burden themselves. We designed this model so that the people who make the experience possible are supported, not stretched.

Students participate at a published program cost that covers the full in-country experience β€” housing, meals, in-country transport, project costs, safety, and support. Full details are on our Pricing & Inclusions page.

What Your Students Step Into

A structured immersion, grounded in two decades of community partnership.

Your students join a structured international immersion in Health, Conservation, or Community Development & Childhood Education β€” supported by academic credit opportunities, established community partnerships, and fully managed logistics. It is the kind of experience participants often describe years later as one that changed the course of their lives.

Health

Community health, public-health education, and wellness work alongside local partners β€” a grounded introduction to global health practice and the realities of care in under-resourced settings.

Conservation

Environmental stewardship and conservation projects led by community priorities β€” connecting students to ecology, sustainability, and the people who steward these landscapes.

Community Development & Childhood Education

Teaching, youth programs, and community-led development β€” sustained engagement that contributes to the long-term educational foundation of the communities we serve.

Every immersion is built on structured learning objectives, documented service hours, and guided reflection β€” designed around recognized service-learning and experiential education principles, so the experience translates cleanly into academic recognition. How academic credit works

However Involved You Want to Be

Choose to simply refer a student or group, join an existing group’s departure date, or engage in a custom program.

There is no single way in. You choose the level that fits your bandwidth this year β€” and you can always step up later. Each pathway is built around your course, your students, and your academic goals.
