The Nine Pathways

Find Your Way to Serve

Every pathway is a real, open door β€” and a real way to make a difference starting today. Tap a pill to explore what it involves and how to take your first step.

01
Serve Abroad

Global Immersion Programs & Custom Pathways

Structured 21-day service-learning experiences in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Australia, and beyond β€” alongside custom immersion pathways for schools, universities, organizations, and mission-driven groups.

Our flagship pathway is a 21-day immersion experience: 14 days of structured service in healthcare, conservation, or community development and childhood education, followed by 7 days of guided cultural exploration. Every program is built to foster meaningful engagement, cultural understanding, and sustained behavior change β€” in the communities we serve and in the volunteers themselves.

  • Choose an integrated multi-track immersion or a single specialized service pathway.
  • Custom immersions offer flexible dates, durations, and destinations for groups.
  • Academic credit is available β€” nearly 2,000 students from 350+ universities have earned it.

Lead at Your School

Campus Chapters & Student Leadership

Launch a HELP2SERVE chapter at your high school, college, or university and lead service, advocacy, and behavior change initiatives year-round.

A campus chapter turns one inspired student into a community of dozens. Chapters host service projects, awareness campaigns, info nights, and fundraising β€” keeping the mission alive between immersion programs and building the next generation of leaders. You don't start from scratch: we provide a step-by-step Campus Chapter Playbook, leadership onboarding, branding materials, meeting templates, and ongoing mentorship.

  • Build real leadership, organizing, and advocacy experience for your rΓ©sumΓ© and beyond.
  • Connect your campus to a global service network spanning 350+ partner universities.
  • Campus chapters generate and sustain members' altruistic, philanthropic values β€” making a measurable, sustainable impact through service, while creating opportunities to facilitate immersion and service experiences where a single experience becomes career development, leadership growth, academic advancement, research opportunities, service-learning, professional mentorship, and global citizenship β€” all at once.

For more than 20 years, universities and institutions have trusted HELP2SERVE.CARE to deliver safe, academically grounded service-learning. We work alongside departments, study-abroad and service-learning offices, honors programs, and student-life teams β€” providing syllabi, on-site evaluations, service-hour documentation, custom group immersions, and dedicated support, so partnering is straightforward and well-supported from the first conversation.

Alumni & Ambassadors

Stay connected, become an ambassador who brings the next group, mentor future participants, and keep advancing service long after your program ends.

Our alumni network keeps you connected to the people and communities that shaped you β€” and gives you ways to keep giving back. Mentor an incoming volunteer, share your story at an info session, support a campus chapter, or join alumni service projects. The volunteers who came before built this legacy; as an alum, you help carry it forward.

  • Become an ambassador and bring a group with you β€” with graduated awards toward your own cost.
  • Mentor future participants and help them prepare for a meaningful immersion.
  • Reconnect with your cohort and the wider 30,000+ volunteer community.

Create Lasting Change

Sustained Behavior Change Initiatives

Create and support initiatives that foster lasting positive behavior change within communities, schools, workplaces, and organizations.

Sustained behavior change is at the heart of everything HELP2SERVE.CARE does β€” it's the difference between a moment of help and a lasting transformation. This pathway is for people who want to bring that philosophy home: launching a service initiative in their own community, school, or workplace; encouraging philanthropic habits among peers; and building programs that keep creating impact long after they begin. We help you design, launch, and sustain initiatives grounded in two decades of practice.

  • Bring a structured service or behavior-change initiative to your own community.
  • Engage schools, workplaces, faith groups, and civic organizations in lasting habits.
  • Draw on proven frameworks for impact that continues after the launch phase.

Serve Where You Live

Local Service Pathways

Ways to serve right where you live, year-round β€” between, after, or before an immersion, or instead of one.

Meaningful service is not defined by distance. The same purpose that draws people to a global immersion β€” compassion, leadership, and a commitment to sustained behavior change β€” can be lived out in your own neighborhood, every month of the year. Local service keeps your commitment active between programs, deepens what you learned after one, prepares you before your first, and stands on its own as meaningful work if travel is not part of your path right now.

  • Direct community service β€” food banks, shelters, clean-ups, tutoring, and mentoring.
  • Skills-based service β€” offer a professional or academic skill to a local nonprofit.
  • Service through leadership β€” organize recurring projects or local initiatives that last.
